Asian lettuce wraps

I asked my sister Shana, "what are some of your favorite dishes that I make for you?" One of them was the Asian lettuce wraps, full of flavor, easy to make and healthy. In searching for a dish to make for my boss that just had a little baby girl, I thought these would be delicious, healthy and easy to reheat. Check out my recipe.....

Asian Lettuce Wraps

1 lb ground chicken or turkey

4 cloves of garlic, crushed

1 tbsp of grated ginger

1 can sliced water chestnuts

2 tbls of soy sauce

1 tsp garlic chili paste

¼ cup garlic sesame sauce or Asian stir fry sauce

1 tbls of sriracha sauce

1/8 of a cup rice vinegar

Sliced green onions, divide white part and green

Grated carrots

Broccoli slaw

Chopped peanuts

Cooked white rice

Butter lettuce or romaine leafs

Brown ground turkey in 2-3 drops of sesame oil.

When brown add ginger and garlic, stir 3-4 mins.

Add water chestnuts, and white parts of green onion, then add soy, garlic chili paste, garlic sesame sauce, sriracha and vinegar.Stir and simmer 5 mins until all blended. Taste for seasoning.

Wash lettuce, grab a leaf, fill with a little rice, ground turkey filling, then top with broccoli slaw, grated carrots, green onions, peanuts. I put some of the sesame garlic sauce on the side of you want to add that to the wrap at the end.
